Calma e Tranquilidade — YEMANJO Remix

It's not often that I cover songs written by others, but I've played this beautiful piece from Carioca Freitas hundreds of times the last years in my concerts and healing events. It just carries such a simple and profound message and energy — plus I love singing in Portuguese.
Yemanjo is one of my favourite Ecstatic Dance DJ's and Remixers out there, so I was extremely happy that he agreed to make a remix of my interpretation that was included in my Selva Sagrada album. I love how it turned out, deep and slow but also very moving, giving space for the raw beauty of the African string instrument Xalam and also my voice.
